At Mount Olive you will discover a warm group of real people dedicated to following our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We offer two services and during this time, we sing several songs, offer prayers of praise and confession to God, hear Scripture read and taught expositionally , and give our offerings and tithes.
Age-wise, we are diverse. Sunday morning attendance is between 250-300 people. Dress trends toward business-casual, though you can find anything from jeans to suits. People are friendly, though with new faces attending each week, you’ll need to be bold and introduce yourself.
Here is a brief overview of what you should expect:
A heartfelt greeting is part of what makes a church a church. No matter what question you might have just ask. Our greeters are there to help you get settled and comfortable.
A welcoming atmosphere where friendships can form and relationships deepen. A place that is serious about joy, true joy, the kind of joy that comes from real connection with God and others.
Our desire in worship is to bring glory to God through song. We love music, all kinds of music. From ancient hymns to modern choruses we use music to show our Lord how much we love and honor Him.
Sermons at Mount Olive are generally expositional, meaning that the sermon seeks to declare the point of a particular Biblical passage. Sermons usually last around 40 minutes and are packed with material for spiritual growth and life application. On a regular basis, our sermon series alternate between the Old and New Testaments. All preaching is driven by the Gospel, the Bible’s main message of God saving sinners through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
